Community guidelines

YogaEcho is a free community and directory for yoga instructors and students. These guidelines apply to profiles, posts, comments, messages and event listings.

What the platform does

  • YogaEcho does not organize classes, events, retreats or trainings, and does not take bookings or payments.
  • For paid events, registration, payment, cancellations and refunds are handled directly with the organizer.
  • The platform charges no fees or commissions and earns no advertising revenue.

What you can share

  • Accurate, up-to-date information about your own classes, events and practice.
  • Photos and text you own or have permission to share. Ask people in your photos for their consent.
  • Respectful, inclusive and constructive comments.

What not to share

  • Health claims: statements that yoga treats or cures an illness or replaces medication. Yoga is not a medical service.
  • Unverifiable titles: certificates, training or experience you do not have.
  • Other people's personal data: phone numbers, addresses, health information or photos shared without permission.
  • Harassment, hate speech, discrimination, threats, spam and misleading advertising.
  • Content whose copyright belongs to someone else.

Health information

YogaEcho does not ask for health information to sign up or build a profile. Do not share pregnancy, injury, illness or medication details on the platform; talk to your instructor directly if needed.

Children

For events aimed at children, getting consent from a parent or legal guardian is the organizer's responsibility. Photos of children are not shared without a parent's permission.

Instructor profiles

Instructor profiles are reviewed before they go live. The "Approved profile" badge means the profile was published by our team; it does not mean YogaEcho guarantees the instructor's certificates or the quality of their services.

Reporting and removal

  • You can report posts, comments and messages with the "Report" option on each item.
  • Reports are reviewed; content that breaks these guidelines may be removed and accounts may be restricted or closed.
  • If your content was removed and you think it was a mistake, contact us to appeal.
